There’s a brand new book available which will be of great interest to adults on the spectrum and their families.
Shining A Light On The Autism Spectrum: Experiences And Aspirations Of Adults collects the real-life experiences of adults who have ASD, in their own words, as well as data from the study and case studies.
The book is the fruit of the We Belong research study, conducted by Aspect Practice.
Whilst the book illustrates the many challenges faced by people on the spectrum, it also shows many examples of how these may be overcome. The strength and ingenuity of people on the spectrum and their families shines through.
The book is by Debra Costley, Susanna Baldwin, Susan Bruck, Kaaren Haas, and Kerry Ritzrow, and is published by Routledge.
You can read more and buy the book at a discounted price on the Routledge website here.
